Alain Bidot-Naude (Ringo Starr)
The Band

How did you hear about the Beatles ?
At 10, I discovered the Beatles stealing a tape to my sister.

Where does this passion come from ?
This passion occurred while listening to the song 'Let's dance' recorded in 1961 by Tony Sheridan with the Beatles Backing Band. Captivated by the groove on the tom's bass, I overwhelm my room with barrels of washing powder then afterwards, real drums to reproduce the same sounds. At 14, I create my first rock music band. But it's in high school that I truly discover the work of the Beatles such as titles 'Let it Be' or 'Can't buy me love'.

Have you become a musician because of the Beatles ?
In 1999, I joined a musical band based focus on the 60s, 70s, and 80s and I discover a genuine affection for the Beatles. I then become a professional musician. Several years later, I am part of the tribute Afterbeat and this fills me with joy!

Which is your preferred title from the Beatles ?
I have a soft spot for songs like 'I Am The Walrus', 'Sexy Sadie', 'Happiness is a Warm Gun' and 'A Day in the Life' but I'm a fan of the whole.
